Our Story
Having a homestead has been a dream of mine for a couple of decades. And finally after years of saving and planning that dream is (slowly) turning into a reality. I started my adult life serving as a Field Artillery Officer in the Army, I left service after 5 1/2 years, reaching the rank of Captain. Travis is currently serving as a Major in the Army. We have recently moved back to the US after being stationed overseas, and as soon as we closed on our new house we started preparations to turn our yard into a homestead. So far we have gotten 'Bready White' (our sourdough starter) going, blocked off an area for our garden, built a chicken coop, and welcomed 10 baby chicks. Visit the 'What's Happening' page to watch our chicks grow into hens, our projects around the homestead and the progress in the garden.
Thank you so much for joining us on our journey.
